Nell Coggins

October 22, 1932 - February 8, 2011
Nell Coggins, 78, of Piedmont, wife of Larkin E. Coggins, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Born in Greenville on October 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dexter T. and Flora Tony Rhodes. Mrs. Coggins was retired from Vince Perones and formerly worked for Rental Uniform Service. She was a member of Life Church in Piedmont and former Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Lynn and husband, David, and Brenda Cooper and husband, William Brown, all of Taylors; a son, Steve Coggins and wife, Jamie, of Greenville; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters; and one brother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
