Odell Jenkins

Odell Jenkins, 70, of Gray Court, died Friday, December 27, 2013, at his residence. Born in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Marion Benjamin and Ethel Carrie Ruff Jenkins. He was self-employed, and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Julia Ann Hitt Jenkins; six daughters, Pam Roberts Bryan, Lynne Burgess Jeff, Marie Okawa Yoichi, Tonya Watson Bryan, Tina Jenkins-Horn Andrew, Becky Vassallo Steve; two sons, Ben Jenkins Beth and Chris Jenkins; 40 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Willie Mae Barbare, Odessa Black, Joyce Black, and Florence Hitt. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by one daughter, Sybil Jenkins; four sons, Allen, Randall, James and Matthew Jenkins; two sisters, Evelyn Roberts and Mary Kimbrell; and one brother, Eugene Jenkins. Visitation will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial to follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
