Peter McHugh

Peter McHugh, 89, formerly of Providence, Rhode Island, of 406 Golden Leaf Lane, Simpsonville, widower of Marion Green McHugh, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at his residence. Born in Fallkirk, Scotland, he was the son of the late John and Maria English McHugh. Mr. McHugh was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter, Marion McHugh of Simpsonville; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie McHugh-Keasler of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Joseph McHugh and Lisa McHugh Hewes; three great-grandchildren, Kyle David Hanks, Mariah Lynn McHugh, Cameron Ryan Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one?s choice. A memorial service will be held in Rhode Island at a later date. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
