Ruth League Iler Robinson

Ruth League Iler Robinson 90 died at The Woodlands early Tuesday after a year of declining health. She was one of ten children of the late Frances Posey and Jerry Lander Iler. She was the widow of Gary Nelson Robinson, Jr. She is survived by one brother, J. Edward Iler of Greenville, and two sisters: Virginia Iler Hill of Greenville, and Betty Iler and husband, John E. McManaway, III of LaGrange, Georgia. She is the mother of Janet Robinson Hadaway of Greenville, and Mary Frances and husband M. Hall Boylston of Allendale, SC. Mrs. Robinson has one granddaughter League B. and husband Matthew V. Creech of Ridgeland, SC, and one great granddaughter, Iler Hall Creech. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Robinson was a long-time employee of Bell South, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, 306 N. Franklin Rd., Greenville, SC 29609. Memorials may be made to the church. The family will receive friends Friday morning at 11:00 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, 6710 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29611, followed by a brief service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
