W. Jesse Couch, Jr

W. Jesse Couch, Jr., 86, of Greenville, husband of the late Mary Etta Looper Couch, died January 26, 2013. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William and Ida Glazner Couch. Jesse was formerly employed by Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company and was a member of Berea First Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Julia McAuley of Cayce; two nieces, Deborah Ingle and Adele McAuley; four nephews, Stephen, Scott, and David McAuley, and Barry Friar. Jesse was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Couch, and a sister, Helen Couch Friar. Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Memorials may be made to Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Rd., Greenville, SC 29611.
